Singapore Zoo: Herbivores
Singapore Zoo: Herbivores
The lush canopy and sprawling plains of the Singapore Zoo house a remarkable collection of plant-eaters, anchored by spectacular encounters with both treetop dwellers and terrestrial giants. At the Elephants of Asia exhibit, visitors can watch a majestic herd of gentle Asian elephants splash, bathe, and socialize in a massive, mud-lined playground modeled after a traditional Burmese logging camp. For a completely different herbivorous perspective, head over to the Australasia zone to spot the rare and elusive Goodfellow's tree kangaroo. Unlike their ground-dwelling cousins, these unique, chestnut-furred marsupials navigate the high branches with incredible agility, quietly munching on fresh leaves and fruit right before your eyes.- Tags: AUS Herbivores Singapore Zoo
